A unique artifact has been found by a group of amateur local historians from Shchuchyn, Belarus, on the bank of the Neman.

A stone with a carved cross and persons with raised arms was found during an expedition.

The experts allege the stone to be one of few stone Christian icons found in Belarus. The historians consider the icon to have a depiction of Our Lady of Aranta and date back to the XVII–XVIII century.

The stone icon is going to be transferred to a museum after finishing studying it.
