4 сакавіка ў Таліне скончыўся кангрэс новай дыяспары Эўропы і ЗША, а таксама прадстаўнікоў дэмакратычных сілаў Беларусі. У ім узялі ўдзел дэлегаты з больш як 25 розных арганізацыяў, партыяў і груп. Гэта актыўныя маладыя беларусы з Беларусі, ЭЗ і ЗША, якія зацікаўленыя ў супрацоўніцтве паміж сабою. Прысутнічалі таксама ганаровыя госьці, прадстаўнікі старэйшага пакаленьня беларускай дыяспары і беларускай палітычнай і культурнай эліты: Зянон Пазьняк, Алесь Шатэрнік і Якуб Гутман.
Удзельнікі кангрэсу знайшлі агульныя каштоўнасьці і стратэгічныя мэты, не гледзячы на тое, што яны маюць рознае бачаньне сітуацыі ў нашай краіне і розныя палітычныя погляды. Акрамя гэтага, яны вызначылі прадметны план дзеяньняў у сьферы інфармацыйнай працы, абароны беларускіх дэмакратычных сілаў, прасоўваньня беларускай культуры ў сваіх краінах. На базе суладнай пазыцыі па будучыні Беларусі, па перспектыўных накірунках сумеснай працы прынялі дэклярацыю пра намеры па выніках кангрэсу. Падчас асабістых нефармальных стасункаў удзельнікі кангрэсу лепш пазнаёміліся, абмяркавалі магчымасьць сумеснай працы і ўзаемадапамогі. Удзельнікі адзначылі, што існуе неабходнасьць каардынацыі дзеяньняў і ўзмацненьне эфектыўнасьці працы дыяспары ў Прыбалтыцы, Скандынавіі і ЗША.
Удзельнікі Кангрэсу новай дыяспары мелі вытворчыя сустрэчы са спадарыняй Крыстынай Аюланд – віца-сьпікерам Парляменту Эстоніі, Міністрам замежных справаў Эстоніі спадаром Паэтам, прадстаўнікамі эстонскага дэпутацкага корпусу, грамадзянамі, журналістамі і інтэлектуаламі. Гаворка ішла пра сітуацыю ў Беларусі, ролю дыяспары ў працэсах дэмакратызацыі краіны, а таксама пра тое, чым Эстонія ў гэтым можа дапамагчы. Таксама прайшлі сустрэчы з акрэдытаванымі ў Эстоніі дыпляматамі з ЗША і Швэцыі. Удзельнікі Кангрэсу далі ім інфармацыю пра рэальную сітуацыю ў Беларусі і мерах, якія маглі бы наблізіць дэмакратычныя зьмены.
Удзельнікі Кангрэсу вырашылі зрабіць яго штогадовым, а таксама стварыць паміж сабой сетку узаемадзеяньня.

Congress of the new Belarusan Diaspora and democratic forces
completed its work in Tallinn
ON March 4th in Tallinn completed its work the Congress of the new Belarusan Diaspora of Europe and the USA and the representatives of the democratic forces of Belarus. The delegates, who participated in this congress, are active young Belarusans from Belarus, the EU and the USA are representatives of more than 25 different organizations, parties and groups. They are interested in cooperation among themselves. There were there also honorable guests, representatives of the older generation of Diaspora and Belarusian political and cultural elite: Zanon Pazniak, Ales Shaternik and Yakub Hutman.
In spite of having sometimes different visions of the situation in our country and different political views, the participants found common values and strategic aims. Besides, they laid down a specific plan of actions in the sphere of information work, protection of interests of Belarusian democratic forces and promoting of Belarusian culture in their countries. On the basis of coordinated position on the future of Belarus, of perspective directions of joint work, they made a declaration to sum up the results of the congress. During personal informal meetings the participants could take a closer look at each other, discussed the possibilities of the joint work and mutual aid. They emphasized that there is a need of more coordination and effectiveness of work of the Diaspora in Baltic countries, Scandinavia and the USA.
The congress participants had some useful meetings with Vice Speaker of Estonian Parliament. Kristiina Ojuland, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Estonia Mr. Paet, representatives of the Estonian deputy body, citizens, journalists and intellectuals. They were discussing the situation in Belarus, the role of the Diaspora in the process of democratization of the country and also what Estonia could do to help in this. There were meeting with accredited in Estonia diplomats of USA and Sweden. The participants of the congress informed them about the real situation in Belarus and measures, which could draw near democratic changes.
The participants of the congress decided to make the congress constant and annual, and also to create a net of cooperation among them.
