This year, when collecting applications for the Christmas fundraising campaign for the children of political prisoners and released prisoners, the organizers asked parents to write about what their children dream of. To date, there are 136 applications (we expect about 200), and wishes are specified in 78 of them.

The most common are new smartphones, tablets, and similar electronics. In second place are Lego sets and other toys: from remote-controlled cars to a plush goose and a large dinosaur.

Examples from the list:

  1. "The older one really wants a phone. The younger one wants a big dinosaur,"
  2. "A big remote-controlled car or a robot,"
  3. "A plush goose,"
  4. "A mobile phone (to replace his old and broken one)".

There are also wishes where a real miracle is needed: "The children dream that their dad would be nearby."

The BYSOL Foundation is collecting 100 euros per child to make at least some of these dreams come true. For 200 children, 20,000 euros are needed; so far, almost 4,800 have been collected.
