On December 1, Belarusian authorities reported that a Lithuanian drone had crashed in Grodno the day before. It was allegedly conducting reconnaissance and scattering white-red-white flags. There are many ambiguities in this story. Gediminas Guoda, director of the Lithuanian company Granta Autonomy, which produces drones similar to the one in the photos from Grodno, gave his assessment of the situation, writes Delfi.lt.

Gediminas Guoda confirms that the drone parts in the photos do indeed resemble the Hornet XR model manufactured by Granta Autonomy. However, he also claims that this drone has been modified and it is unknown how it ended up in Belarus. Considering that such drones were supplied to Ukraine and some of them were intercepted by Russia, it cannot be ruled out that the incident may be a provocation.

In addition, Belarusian claims about the drone's alleged thousand-kilometer route are clearly unreliable, as such a range exceeds the technical capabilities of the model.

The Lithuanian National Crisis Management Center states that the Belarusian authorities are deliberately creating information stories and making accusations in order to achieve political pressure and force the West to negotiate. Lithuania demands an end to attacks with smuggled balls and the return of the property of its carriers, which is being detained in Belarus.
