Poland May Transfer MiG-29 Fighters to Ukraine
The General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces announced the possibility of transferring all remaining MiG-29 fighters currently in service with Poland to Ukraine. As reported by the General Staff, their further modernization no longer makes sense.
As noted in the announcement, further modernization of these combat aircraft is considered unpromising. Airspace patrolling tasks will be fully performed by F-16 fighters and South Korean FA-50s.
In exchange for transferring the MiG-29s, Poland counts on the help of Ukrainian engineers in developing Polish drone and missile weapon programs.
