On Bolshaya Morskaya Street, a drunk spectator approached the stage and kicked a can of kerosene at the moment the artist was performing with lit torches, Baza writes.
The fuel spilled and instantly ignited — the 27-year-old fire performer's clothes caught fire, and the flames quickly engulfed his body. Eyewitnesses tried to help the victim before paramedics arrived.
The artist was urgently hospitalized. Doctors recorded burns to his face, arms, legs, and chest — totaling about 50% of his body surface. Most of the burns are superficial, but skin grafting may be necessary later. The victim is currently in the intensive care unit of the burn ward.
The spectator was detained at the scene and taken to a police station.
