Babaryka and Kalesnikava canceled press conference in Berlin
Former political prisoners Viktar Babaryka and Maryia Kalesnikava planned to give a press conference in Berlin on Tuesday, December 23, but the event has been canceled, according to the press service of Viktar Babaryka's team.

"Maryia and Viktar need time for recovery and communication with their loved ones. Maryia Kalesnikava and Viktar Babaryka ask for understanding and for a little time," the statement reads.
Viktar Babaryka and Maryia Kalesnikava were released on December 13 among 123 political prisoners; they were taken to Ukraine, and on Sunday they gave a press conference in Chernihiv.
On Friday, Viktar Babaryka and Maryia Kalesnikava arrived in Berlin. They were met by the German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. Photos of the meeting were shared by the press service of the German Foreign Ministry.
