Linava Association President Erlandas Mikėnas stated that Lithuanian trucks are still at sites in Belarus, and the state and carriers incur significant losses daily. Furthermore, he noted, there is no information about the resumption of movement, Delfi writes .

On December 24, Mikėnas responded in a public statement to Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė's words that a significant portion of the stranded trucks are already circulating between Lithuania and Belarus: «Carriers cannot confirm this information. Only she herself can answer who provided it to the Prime Minister. The carriers, who find themselves held hostage, are meeting the holidays with disappointment, and the statements from the Prime Minister and Minister of Transport only irritate them. It is clear that the losses of the government and the carriers are not on the government's list of priorities.»

The head of Linava urged the government to take measures for the return of the trucks to Lithuania.

«LINAVA asks not for symbolic gestures and declarations, but for a clear, official, and transparent solution that will ensure the actual return of all trucks belonging to Lithuanian carriers, rather than illusions that the problem is being solved or has already been solved,» Mikėnas said.

Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė stated on December 23 that a significant portion of the semi-trucks stranded in Belarus are already circulating between Lithuania and Belarus, and government agencies continue to work on returning the remaining vehicles.
