Belarus's budget for 2026 approved
Alexander Lukashenka signed the law on the republican budget of Belarus for 2026 on December 29, the politician's press service reports.

Budget revenues are planned at 54.4 billion rubles, while expenditures are 58.7 billion. Compared to 2025, revenues will increase by 12.4%, and expenditures by 10.4%.
The main growth in revenues is expected due to value-added tax, income tax, profit tax, as well as receipts from foreign economic activity. At the same time, for most taxpayers, the tax burden remains at the previous level.
The budget also provides for additional funding for priority areas, including science, the agro-industrial complex, and export support.
The republican budget deficit is set at 4.3 billion rubles, which constitutes less than 1.5% of the gross domestic product.
