He told reporters about this, writes football.by.

"Lately, I've improved my Belarusian language skills. I read many websites in Belarusian, watch some programs. So, one can say, I've mastered Belarusian. Before, it was only Russian everywhere. Maybe I don't understand some words, but the general meaning is perfectly clear. I myself was born in Mir, Grodno region, but, frankly speaking, I hardly heard Belarusian in my childhood," he said.

Vadim Zhuk was born in 1952. In the 1980s, during the USSR era, he was the only Belarusian football referee who officiated international matches.
