Remember the Belarusian woman who lived and ran a business in Lithuania, but hated the country? We found out what happened to the Lukashenka fan
What became of Karina Mond, who got into a scandal in Lithuania last year?

A reminder: last year, the Belarusian woman insulted a Ukrainian woman who runs an account about events in Vilnius, "Nuzhny Spravochnik Vilniusa" (Useful Vilnius Guide). Most likely, this happened by accident: Karina wanted to forward a story with her offensive comment to one of her friends, but she forwarded it to the Ukrainian woman instead.
After this, Karina Mond had her moment of fame (and hate) on social media.
It turned out that in 2019, the Belarusian woman married a Lithuanian man and settled in Vilnius. Here she ran a business: she had her own beauty school, where she taught girls to become manicure and pedicure masters. Karina also sold everything necessary for nail technicians.
However, judging by her social networks, life in Lithuania was pure hell for her — even local clients irritated the woman. Karina explained her anger this way: "I realized: I become nervous and hysterical only when I cross the farting border" (that's what the woman called the Lithuanian border).
Karina traveled to Belarus to attend the finale of Lukashenka's "Unity Marathon" at "Minsk-Arena" with her propagandist friend Katsiaryna Zabianko.
The woman gushed over Kolya Lukashenka's performance: "Kolenka. I'm proud. And what can YOUR president's son do?". And when Lukashenka senior appeared, she seemed to experience the culmination of patriotic feelings: "And then I turn around. And Father is just standing next to me, dear one, right in the aisle. Just very close."
When one of her subscribers asked if it was cool to live in two countries, Karina replied: "It's cool if both countries are great. But Lithuania, compared to Minsk, is a village in the tundra with inadequate people. So it's rather strange — you're like traveling in time. Well, and difficult — no, if you love to travel."
Now Karina lives in Minsk, as she realized that she can only live in her homeland (but it should be noted that she planned the move even before the scandal). She quit her job in the beauty industry. Her Instagram states that she decided to leave business to become a housewife.
But that's not entirely true: 47-year-old Karina is trying to work as a photographer and says she can help specialists or brands create content for social networks. She also does individual photo shoots.
Last summer, the woman advertised herself as a photographer in Minsk and Vilnius – but eventually, only the Belarusian capital remained as an option. For 120 rubles, she promised to give all original photos plus 20 edited ones: "The client pays and orders a butt and breasts of the size they want."
Now, as Karina's acquaintances told "Nasha Niva", she can no longer travel to Vilnius because she no longer has a Lithuanian residence permit.
