Trump denies canceling Iran strikes under influence, thanks Iranian authorities

Donald Trump stated that no one tried to influence his decision or dissuade him from striking Iran — he made this decision independently.

"Nobody convinced me. I convinced myself," Trump said, while also praising the Iranian authorities.

"They were going to hang over 800 people yesterday, and I have great respect for the fact that they canceled it. Thank you!" he added.

Previously, it was reported that the decision by Trump not to take active military action against Iran was influenced by the leaders of Persian Gulf countries — Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman.

Journalists asked the US President whether his previous words about aid to participants of anti-government protests in Iran from the US being "already on its way" still stand.

In response, Trump said that it would still be decided. "We'll see," he stated.
