In 2026, with the onset of positive temperatures, QR codes will appear on all traffic light objects, and any citizen will be able to promptly report malfunctions and damage using a mobile phone.
To submit an application, it is enough to scan the QR code. After that, a browser window will open on the smartphone with a feedback form where information can be left. It will also be necessary to add a photo of the specific location.
— We ask you to report all malfunctions and damage to road signs and traffic lights to the duty service of our enterprise at the short number 155, — said Ilya Mahavikov, Deputy Director – Chief Engineer of SMEP Minsk City Executive Committee. — As a rule, such information is most often communicated by public transport drivers and traffic police officers. With the installation of plaques with QR codes, this will become easier. It will be enough to approach with a phone, point the camera, and transmit the information.
