The "Nadja" initiative published a collection by the fathers of surrealism
The publishing initiative "Nadja / Надзя" has published in Belarusian a collective collection by three standard-bearers of surrealism — "Slow down" by André Breton, René Char, Paul Éluard, writes bellit.info.
Lina Zo, Vera Baxter, and Mikhail Klimov worked on the translation from French. The edition is illustrated by Stasya Byanchuk.
"The collection of thirty poems was entirely compiled in just 5 days, from March 25 to March 30, 1930, during a joint vacation of the three poets in Avignon, southern France. The title for the book was inspired by a road sign the company saw on their way to the city. Introductions were prepared for the poems, and already on June 20, the collection was published by José Corti," recounts the afterword commentary about the history of the book's creation.
The PDF version of the book "Slow down" can be freely downloaded right now. The "Nadja" initiative will announce other methods of distributing the publication later.
