Mikhas Hubernatarau Dies
Candidate of Philological Sciences, poet, and teacher Mikhas Hubernatarau died in Hrodna, Radio Racyja reports . He was 79 years old.
Mikhas Hubernatarau was born on November 23, 1946, in the village of Anhielaŭka, Kastsiukovichy district, Mogilev region. In 1969, he graduated from Belarusian State University, worked as a teacher, and for many years served at Yanka Kupala Hrodna State University. He defended his candidate's dissertation on the works of Arkadz Kulyashoŭ.
Mikhas Hubernatarau's first works appeared in print in 1964; he was widely published in newspapers and magazines, and collective collections. He published poetry collections "Paverka" (Verification) (1973) and "Paklanenne ahnyu" (Worship of Fire) (1984).
His poems were included in the poetry collection "Run" (Shoots) (1970), issues of the almanac "Novy zamak" (New Castle) (since 2012), and others. He was a member of various literary associations.
