Lukashenka Signed a Decree on Ensuring Salary Payments
On February 12, Alexander Lukashenka signed a decree "On ensuring the payment of wages and remuneration," according to the politician's press service.

According to the document, the Department of State Labor Inspectorate received the right to issue mandatory directives when facts of non-payment or incomplete payment within the specified period are revealed, not only for salaries but also for remuneration under civil law contracts.
If enterprises fail to comply with these requirements, the debt will be collected out of court. In such a case, the department appeals to the enforcement authorities with an initiative to initiate enforcement proceedings in the worker's interest.
In addition, the decree provides for enhanced social protection: the amount of extraordinary payments collected from employers to repay salary arrears increases from one and a half to three subsistence minimum budgets.
