Shortparis Frontman Died at 39
The Russian band is known for its performance art shows. Frontman Nikolai Komyagin was detained at an anti-war protest.

Mikalai Kamiagin, the 39-year-old lead singer of the band Shortparis, has died.
The musician's death was confirmed by the group's manager, Marina Kasukhina. Russian blogger Ksenia Sobchak reported that Kamiagin felt unwell during a boxing workout, and his heart couldn't take it.
The St. Petersburg band Shortparis plays music in the genres of post-pop, pop-noir, and avant-pop and is known for its performances.
The music of this band could be heard in various films, for example, in the film «Captain Volkonogov Escaped.»
Mikalai Kamiagin himself starred in Danila Kozlovsky's series «Karamora» and in Kirill Serebrennikov's film «Summer.»
In February 2022, he was detained in St. Petersburg for participating in an anti-war action and fined.
In 2022, the band was not allowed to perform in Minsk.
