In the village of Staroje Sialo near Brest, a future strawberry harvest is threatened due to the flooding of one of the farms. Farmers showed the extent of the water spill in social networks and said that they are forced to save their garden beds as best they can, writes Tochka.by.

Water in some places even covered the raised beds with plants, and there was no way to pump it out. To reduce the water level, the owners redistributed it to other rows and additionally dug trenches. According to the video author, the water level decreased by about 17 centimeters overnight, but it will take time for it to completely drain.
Although such a situation is unpleasant for the plantings, it is not considered critical, as the ground is still heavily frozen and absorbs almost no water. However, warming up to +10 °C is expected, so it is necessary to get rid of excess moisture as soon as possible.
The video with the flooded garden beds garnered a large number of views and sparked discussions. Some users doubted its relevance, as there is still snow in many regions. However, in this area, positive temperatures have been observed since February 21, so there is no doubt that the video was recorded recently.
