"Viejšnoryja" Declared "Extremist Formation"
The project "Viejšnoryja" has been declared an "extremist formation". The corresponding decision was made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on March 2.
According to the department, political prisoner Aleh Larychaw is involved with "Viejšnoryja | Вейшнорыя", reports "Viasna".
The detention of art manager Aleh Larychaw became known at the beginning of the year. Aleh is the organizer of the Urban Myths festival, a public figure, and a street art artist.
Viejšnoryja is a virtual state that emerged as an element of the legend of the joint strategic exercises "West-2017" on the territory of Belarus and caused a great, mostly humorous, stir on the Internet. According to the exercise scenario, the fictional state occupies the territory of most of the Hrodna region and the north-western parts of the Minsk and Vitsebsk regions.
