Lukashenka: Head of Ministry of Natural Resources Caught Taking Bribes and is in Pre-Trial Detention

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus, Sergei Maslyak, is in a pre-trial detention center on charges of bribery. Alexander Lukashenko announced this at a meeting on measures to eliminate unjustified and unfair mediation, BelTA reports.
«He was caught red-handed. I warned you that we don't just grab anyone off the street. Shved [Chairman of the Supreme Court and former Prosecutor General of Belarus Andrei Shved], and now Gara Dmitry Yurievich [the current Prosecutor General] are strictly controlling this. If necessary, they will report,» Lukashenko said.
