«The Fifteenth Supreme People's Assembly solemnly announced to the whole world the historic decision to nominate the outstanding leader of the Juche revolution, Comrade Kim Jong Un, for the highest post of the Republic, in accordance with the unified will and aspirations of the entire Korean people,» the Korean Central News Agency reported.
Deputy Ri Il Hwan put forward the proposal for Kim Jong Un's re-election. He stated: «On this planet, only the strong have the right to defend the dignity and security of the state, and it is the greatness of Comrade Kim Jong Un that is the main strength of Korea. Korea's power lies not only in its weaponry, but also in the conviction of self-development and the political courage of its leader. Another strength is the unity and cohesion of the entire society, where the will of the leader has become the will of the people. In this country, there is a loyal people who, even in difficulties, support the ideas of the leader, and there are armed forces who consider absolute devotion as their duty».

Kim Jong Un has led the DPRK since 2011. Before him, his grandfather Kim Il Sung (1949-1994) and father Kim Jong Il (1994-2011) ruled.
