Man tried to strangle girl right on the street
A resident of Mogilev region attacked a 20-year-old girl. Thanks to a young couple passing by, the victim was rescued. As a result, the man appeared before the court — he was accused of attempted murder.
It is known that everything happened in September 2025 in the city of Krugloye. On that day, the suspect was in a crowded place — near the intersection of two streets. At some point right there, he causelessly attacked an unknown girl.
«He grabbed her, carried her from the sidewalk into a ditch, threw her to the ground and began to strangle her by the neck,» — details were reported by the prosecutor's office.
At the same time, a family couple with a child was passing by. The young people immediately came to the victim's aid. After that, they called the police.
The suspect turned out to be a 44-year-old local resident. It turned out that he had previously served a 16-year sentence — the punishment was imposed for the murder of a woman.
In court, regarding the attempted murder, the accused categorically denied his involvement. However, considering all the evidence, he was found guilty.
The sentence imposed is 20 years in a correctional colony under special regime conditions.
The man was also ordered to pay compensation for moral damages — 30 thousand rubles.
