According to Bahreini, despite Khamenei's absence from the public sphere, he continues to perform his duties, CNN reports.

"The reason for his absence from public view is the adherence to security measures in connection with the current special circumstances," explained Iran's representative to the UN.

The son of the liquidated Ali Khamenei — Mojtaba Khamenei — was elected as Iran's new supreme leader. Just a week ago, for the second time since his appointment, he addressed the people without video or audio, which fueled doubts about his capacity to act.

It was reported that he was severely wounded. It was also written that Mojtaba Khamenei miraculously survived an attack on his bunker. He managed to leave the facility seconds before the strike, but his wife, son, and parents died during that missile attack.
