Should a teacher always respond to parents' messages in chats? The Ministry of Education explained.

"Educators are not obliged to respond during their personal time; it is recommended to adhere to timeframes (usually from 8:00 to 20:00) and use chats only for academic matters,"

— the Ministry of Education's response was published in "Nastaŭnitskaya Gazeta" (Teacher's Newspaper).

Each educational institution develops its own rules and determines acceptable communication times.

Rules are established in the parent chat. For example, personal questions, spam, greetings, and voice messages are forbidden.

An educator has the right not to respond to messages outside of working hours, except in emergency situations. Degradation of honor and dignity, insults, discussion of children, and conflicts are forbidden.

For resolving individual issues, officials recommend switching to private messages.
