According to a joint investigation with "Bureau," Grants' company Mello Trading, registered in Lithuania, operates in the duty-free trade segment in Belarus, where, together with Dipmarket, a company belonging to Alexander Lukashenka's administration, it owns the Belamarket Duty Free chain of stores.
This company owns a chain of more than 30 stores in Belarus. 50.1% of the company's shares belong to Grants' Mello Trading, and the remainder to a company owned by Lukashenka's administration.
Despite claims by Artur Grants' company Mello Trading that it currently does not operate in Belarus, according to data from the Center of Registers, its last year's profit from duty-free shops in Belarus amounted to 2 million euros.
