Donald Trump stated on his Truth Social network that there was progress in negotiations with Iran and threatened new consequences if the Strait of Hormuz is not unblocked.
"The US is conducting serious negotiations with a new, more reasonable regime regarding the cessation of our military operations in Iran. Significant progress has been made, but if for any reason an agreement is not reached soon (and this is likely to happen), and if the Strait of Hormuz is not immediately 'open for business,' we will conclude our wonderful 'stay in Iran' by blowing up and completely destroying all their power plants, oil pipelines, and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalination facilities!), which we have deliberately left untouched yet," he wrote.
It was previously reported that negotiations between the US and Iran might take place in Islamabad (Pakistan) in the near future.
