More nets to be installed in forests to block the path of wild animals
The forestry sector plans to more widely use net fences to protect young forests from wild animals. The experience of the Minsk Forestry Association in installing such fences is proposed to be adopted by other regions, the press service of the Ministry of Forestry reported .

Minister of Forestry Alexander Kulik noted that he was impressed by how nets are used in the Stolbtsy forestry enterprise to protect forest plantations. Previously, equipment for self-production of nets was acquired there, which significantly reduced protection costs — by approximately half.
It is emphasized that nets can be reused, unlike other fences, and they do not require complex disposal after use.
The Minister set the task for each regional association to study this experience and organize their own production of such nets. This should allow forestry enterprises to independently provide themselves with the necessary materials.
Over the past five years, about 25 thousand hectares of young forests have been fenced off in this way in the country, which has helped protect them from damage by wild animals.
