Import ban on several goods through border with Lithuania extended

Belarus has extended until December 31, 2027, the ban on the import by road transport of a number of goods through the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, which are imported for sale or consumption within the country. This was done by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 145 of March 30, 2026, published today on the National Legal Portal.

Such a ban was first introduced on April 1, 2024, for a period of six months. It was then extended three times for a similar period. Now, it turns out, it has been prolonged for a year and nine months at once.

The ban does not apply, among other exceptions, to goods imported by individuals for personal use.
