A new era for blondes in fashion
In the past few years, darker hair colors were in fashion, but in 2026, fashion has taken a turn in a different direction. A new era of ideas for blondes has arrived, writes Harper's Bazaar.

The series "Love Story" about Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy has influenced a surge in interest in 90s minimalist fashion and light hair shades. But it's not just that. Stars like Margot Robbie, Rosé from Blackpink, and Anya Taylor-Joy are also showcasing classic blonde.

The number of Google searches for "lived-in blond" (blonde with grown-out roots effect) has increased by 20 percent since the beginning of 2026.
Experts believe that interest is also growing because it is now easier to become a blonde and maintain this color, as dyes are not as harmful. Moreover, women who were once blonde, and then grew out their natural color and restored the health of their hair, are ready to experiment again.
Colorists highlight several fashionable blonde shades in 2026. While previously the demand was for "sun-kissed" hair (balayage technique, where part of the strands are dyed), now it's for a solid, bright light blonde. For example, like actresses Margot Robbie and Elle Fanning. It's less like a beach style than previous versions.

Many requests for light-beige, pearlescent "champagne blonde".
Conversely, women are moving away from ash and cool tones — returning to warm colors.
