Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) technology has become a true salvation for motorists. Thanks to it, there's no longer a need to putty and paint minor body damage.

Minsk hosted the country's first international paintless dent repair championship — Belarus PDR Technology 2026, reports abw.by.

For two days, 48 craftsmen from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Estonia competed for the title of the best, transforming the damaged parts of used BELGEE X70 crossovers into perfectly smooth surfaces.

The essence of PDR technology resembles magic: craftsmen use neither putty nor paint — only special hooks, adhesive systems, and their skill.

This not only preserves the factory coating (which is very important when selling a car), but also allows for the repair of even huge, meter-long damages.

At the tournament, the jury evaluated every detail: from the preservation of the lacquer texture to the absence of the slightest defects on doors and hoods.

Belarusian specialists demonstrated their high level of skill, taking two out of three prize places. Vasil Patrashenka from Brest won silver, and Mikita Busyhin from Minsk took bronze. The victory went to Mark Blintsov from Zelenograd, Russia.

By the way, all BELGEE cars, on which the participants trained, were returned to their owner in like-new condition — it's now difficult to distinguish them from those fresh off the assembly line.

The organizers note that the demand for such precision repairs is growing in Belarus: over a hundred professionals are already working in the country, capable of restoring a car's shine for a reasonable price. They plan to make the championship an annual event.
