Wargaming IT Specialist, Tried Under "Execution Article", Given 14 Years
The verdict for Gleb Rybchanka, who was tried under eight articles at once, has become known.
It became known that 31-year-old Wargaming IT specialist Gleb Rybchanka was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony, "Viasna" writes.
The Hrodna Regional Court delivered a verdict to Rybchanka under eight criminal articles at once, among which are "participation in a terrorist organization", "preparation for a terrorist act by an organized group or resulting in a person's death" and "preparation for rendering railway tracks or a vehicle unusable".
After the appeal, the Supreme Court changed the term: as a result, the man was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony.
The man is originally from Hrodna and lived and worked near St. Petersburg for a long time. He worked for the company "Lesta" — a Russian division of "Wargaming" — which from 2022 owned the rights to "World of Tanks" in Russia and Belarus.
