The Megatop brand compiled a map of Belarusian women's footwear preferences based on spring demand. It turned out that tastes in different regions are indeed different, writes the Telegram channel "MogilevOnline".
The company noted that modern girls primarily choose comfort. No stilettos — the main trend of the season has become functional 'barefoot' aesthetics with a wide toe box and a soft sole. Demand for such footwear has grown by 65% compared to last year.
Ballet flats and 'sneakerinas' (sneakers and ballet flats in one) have become an absolute trend. They are leading in most cities of Belarus. However, each region has its own style.
Women from Mogilev are loyal to classics and most often buy traditional sneakers. Open-back heels are also popular among them.
Women from Minsk wear sandals. Ladies from Gomel show off in loafers and slingbacks — there are many connoisseurs of natural suede here, so the city confirms its status as a center of 'quiet luxury'.
But still, the main trendsetter of this season, according to Megatop, is Brest. Local girls love animalistic 'leopard' prints and statement platform sandals.
Women from Vitebsk also have their own taste. There is a steady demand for utilitarian models — sneakers and canvas shoes. Women from Grodno, like women from Minsk, prefer sandals and flat-soled shoes.
