"The Ministry of Science presented the initiative with an official statement and clear infographics. According to the plan, more than seven million subscribers will gain unlimited access to the internet at a speed of 400 kbit/s after exhausting their basic data package.
The country's largest operators — SK Telecom, KT Corporation, and LG Uplus — have already joined the program.
Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT, Bae Kyung-hoon, emphasized that access to online services has become a vital necessity.
Additionally, according to him, telecommunications companies must restore public trust after a series of recent incidents: a massive data leak at SK Telecom due to weak protection, and the appearance of 3 TB of LG Uplus data on the dark web."
