According to Zelenskyy, the repairs are already close to completion, although it will not yet be possible to fully restore the infrastructure. Nevertheless, the oil pipeline will be able to operate and ensure supplies.
Zelenskyy also expressed hope for good cooperation with the new authorities in Hungary.
Previously, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Budapest would not support decisions in favor of Ukraine, including new sanctions against Russia and financial aid, until Russian oil supplies via Druzhba were restored.
At the same time, immediately after the elections, Hungary's future Prime Minister Péter Magyar noted that his country would continue to purchase Russian oil for some time but would strive to diversify energy sources.
