Robot Tsikavik Started Working at a Gas Station in Belarus
The first robot-seller named Tsikavik has appeared in Belarus. It started working at a gas station in the village of Yaromina, Gomel district, reported the press service of "Belarusneft".
This robot fully automates the purchase process: it takes orders, finds the desired product, and dispenses it to the customer. The assortment includes many different items – from chewing gum to large canisters of windshield washer fluid.
The project was created jointly by several organizations, and its implementation took approximately a year. During this time, a regular retail pavilion was re-equipped for the robot and divided into two parts — for customers and for technical maintenance.
Currently, Tsikavik operates around the clock and is in the testing phase. Specialists are monitoring how fast and convenient it is, and how people react to it. If the results are good, such robots may appear at other gas stations as well.
