Doctors fought for Oleksandr Perha's life for a day, but could not save him.

He became the seventh victim of the shooter who committed the terrorist attack on April 18.

Local residents say that Uncle Sasha always smiled and helped those around him. He left behind a cat that Oleksandr had taken in. Neighbors promise to look after the pet, writes "Current Time".

Oleksandr urged people to plant fruit trees in courtyards so they would delight with blossoms and fruits. Now trees will be planted in his honor.

On Saturday, April 18, a man with a carbine in his hands went out into the street in the Holosiivskyi district near the center of Kyiv and started shooting, then burst into a supermarket where he took hostages. A total of seven people died, including a married couple who were walking with their teenage son. Uncle Sasha shielded 12-year-old Artem, but he himself was hit by the bullets of the Holosiivskyi shooter. He sustained severe injuries to his liver, intestines, and stomach.

The terrorist was shot dead.
