The famous monument-plane has been returned to Stsyapyanka
Yesterday, a video appeared showing the fuselage and wings being transported separately on car trailers.
In early March, the plane was sent for restoration to Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407, writes Blizko.by.

The administration plans further improvement of the adjacent territory to make this iconic place even more comfortable and attractive for residents and guests of the district.
The plane has been on its pedestal for over 40 years. Then, in 1982, for the 40th anniversary of the 1st Separate Tilsit Order of the Red Star Communications Regiment of the 1st Air Army, at the request of its command, the plane was delivered from Bobrovichi airfield (Gomel region) to the capital's Stsyapyanka.
Initially, it had tail number "77", but after the main street was renamed in honor of Uladzimir Karvat, the tail number was changed to "29" - like the plane on which Lieutenant Colonel Karvat died in 1996.
The plane even has its own official address: Minsk, Karvat Street, 5E.
