The tragedy occurred in Mogilev on the afternoon of May 1 during the operation of the amusement park. An 18-year-old young man, who was undergoing training for the position of attraction operator, sustained a severe head injury and died, according to the Investigative Committee.
According to preliminary investigation data, the trainee tried to help a visitor safely exit the carousel.
But the young man did not secure the working mechanism, which caused a moving part of the ride to fall on him.
From the blow to the head, the young man died on the spot.
