Gomel, warmth from Hrodna will soon reach you too
Today, the temperature difference between the northwest and southeast was more than 11 degrees. The weather in the west and north of the country was simply luxurious.

Note: in northern Belarus today at 15:00 it was much warmer than in the south. In Polotsk +24°, and in Hrodna — a full 25.
The reason is the circulation of an anticyclone centered over Northern Italy. Along its western and northwestern periphery, warm air from Southern and Central Europe is moving towards us (clockwise, as is typical for an anticyclone).
As a result, the north of the country found itself in a zone of more intense heat advection, while the south was on the cooler periphery.

But how long will this May happiness last, under which tulips, bird cherry, and lilac will bloom?
As predicted by the Telegram channel @nadvorie, the anticyclone will maintain pleasant weather in Belarus with temperatures as high as +24..+27° until approximately Tuesday, May 5. After this, a cold front is expected to enter the country. According to the ECMWF forecast, it will divide Belarus roughly in half, conditionally along the Hrodna—Minsk—Vitsyebsk line.
South of the front, a warm air mass with a temperature of about +25° will persist for a couple more days. Fresh air from the Baltic will begin to flow into the north, where temperatures will become entirely comfortable at +15..+18°. Convection with heavy showers and thunderstorms will develop along the front in the afternoon.
On May 6, cyclone 'H1' will move from the territory of Poland. In the evening and at night, it will likely bring more intense rains with thunderstorms to the northern half of Belarus.
On May 7-8, the arrival of cyclone 'H2' from the southwest is expected. In forecasts, it appears more powerful — with widespread and prolonged precipitation.
