Belarusian Volleyball Players Allowed to Compete in International Competitions
The International Volleyball Federation has allowed Belarusian athletes and teams to return to participation in international volleyball competitions.
The Belarusian Volleyball Federation received a letter signed by FIVB President Fabio Azevedo, outlining the decisions of the Administrative Board meeting, writes Pressball.
— Following the recommendations of the IOC, the Administrative Board decided to admit the national volleyball teams of Belarus to tournaments under the organization's aegis. This decision also applies to beach volleyball teams of all ages.
The BFV noted that they also await decisions from the European Volleyball Confederation regarding the participation of our national teams in continental tournaments.
The ban on Belarusian volleyball was imposed after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
