Russian Foreign Ministry announced no signals from Kyiv regarding new negotiations
Moscow has not received signals from Kyiv about readiness for a new round of negotiations on conflict settlement, Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told Izvestia, writes RBC.
According to the diplomat, the Russian side does not see Kyiv's readiness "to make substantive progress in the settlement," but Kyiv can prepare the ground for the resumption of the peace process.
"In terms of creating conditions for effective negotiations, Zelensky should order the Armed Forces of Ukraine to cease fire and leave the territory of Donbas, Russian regions. Then it will be possible to move to discussing specific parameters of a truly comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace," he said.
Galuzin also noted that the negotiation process will be difficult, but Russia is ready for it.
