Propagandist Simonyan urged Russians to calm down about the gasoline shortage and reminded that there are also food ration cards
RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan, on Vladimir Solovyov's program, urged Russian residents to react more calmly to the fuel crisis, noting that Russians have already experienced more difficult times, The Insider writes .
"No gasoline? Well, I still remember, my generation remembers when food was rationed with cards. Don't you remember, or what? In my city, Krasnodar, in 1992, there were coupons. We cut them out, we used them. And I personally walked with buckets at the age of 11-12 and even earlier — for water. Not for Coca-Cola, not for something else, but for water, because there was no water," she stated.
Simonyan said that Russia's opponents are trying to make Russians "run, as in 1917, to overthrow the Tsar-father," but now, in her opinion, the situation is different, and the people will endure everything.
"I urge everyone: calm down, calm down. Yes, it's difficult, yes, very difficult, but calm down," she added.
According to The Insider's calculations, by the end of June, fuel shortages were recorded in 88 out of 89 regions controlled by Russia.
