A strange monument was erected at the site of Iryna Farion's death in Lviv
A copper stele was erected in the courtyard where the murder took place.
Not everyone appreciated the architectural design: in the comments under the publications of the Lviv City Council, the structure is widely compared to a public toilet. The idea and implementation cost 2.2 million hryvnias (about 50 thousand dollars), Ukrainian media write.
Iryna Farion, a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the "Svoboda" party, known for her statements, was killed on July 19, 2024. During the assassination attempt, she received a severe injury, after which she was taken to the hospital, where she died three hours later.
A few days later, an 18-year-old suspect in the murder was detained in Dnipro.
