Lukashenka today made personnel appointments in the KGB structure, reports BelTA.
He also placed a special emphasis on strengthening the coordinating role of the State Secretariat of the Security Council and personally the State Secretary.
"I want you to understand: the role of the State Secretary and the State Secretariat will be strengthened. Obviously, there are details and nuances (the KGB chairman knows this) that are reported only to the president. Foreign intelligence, agents, residencies, and so on. Only the president should know this. This should not be spread, disseminated, and so on. There are specific issues on which information is reported and consent or approval, or some idea, some program, is received," Lukashenka said.
"But organizational, personnel issues, where something needs to be discussed. Well, the State Secretary and the State Secretariat should oversee this.
