Man Kills Ten-Month-Old Girl in Vitebsk

Medics found a lifeless ten-month-old child in an apartment in June, according to "Vitebskiye Vesti". The killer is the mother's cohabitant.
Even when the children's father was alive, the large family lived poorly: conflicts and quarrels occurred there for years. The father drank and caused scandals.
When the man died, his wife began living with another man who had previously been declared legally incapacitated due to a mental disorder.
One day in June, the man struck the ten-month-old girl several times on the head because she was being fussy and preventing him from playing computer games.
The child's mother did not stand up for her daughter and called an ambulance only when the girl stopped breathing. Medics who arrived at the scene pronounced her dead.
The man faces up to 25 years in prison, life imprisonment, or the death penalty.
The remaining children were taken from the mother.
