Minsk Airport to significantly expand parking
Minsk National Airport plans to significantly increase the capacity of the P3 car park. After the project's implementation, it will gain another 884 new parking spaces, the airport's press service reported .
The majority of the new spaces — 542 — will be designated for passengers and airport visitors. Another 342 spaces will be allocated for service vehicles. The work is planned to be carried out on an area of about 3.39 hectares.
The airport administration noted that the expansion of the parking lot is necessary due to the development of the infrastructure of the airport forecourt area, as well as to maintain the quality of services provided to passengers. In addition, additional spaces are needed for the airport staff themselves.
The project envisages the creation of a barrier-free environment. Six special parking spaces will be equipped for people with disabilities and other citizens with limited mobility. There will be no high curbs at the intersections of pedestrian paths with the roadway, and sidewalks and pedestrian paths will receive a durable, flat, and non-slip surface.
It has not yet been announced when exactly the work will be completed and the new parking spaces will open.
