Old buildings of the Luch plant in Minsk to be redeveloped into a business center and medical complex. Project submitted for discussion
Public discussions have started in the Pervomaisky district administration regarding the project for the reconstruction of the old buildings of the Luch plant. A modern multifunctional complex is promised to replace the industrial structures, Minsk-Novosti reports.
According to the materials published on the district administration's website, the reconstruction will affect two buildings: a three-story production building (Nezalezhnosti Ave., 95) and an adjacent one-story warehouse. A new seven-story office complex and a specialized medical center are planned to be built in their place.
The area of the future business center will be 5,219 sq. m. Its first level, with five-meter ceilings, will be allocated for a retail area (291 sq. m) and a medical block.
Offices and administrative premises will occupy levels two to seven. A conference hall and two exhibition spaces, each 170 square meters, are planned on the third and sixth floors.
The adjacent chemical warehouse will also undergo redevelopment — it will be adapted into a medical center with dental laboratories (224 sq. m).
78 parking spaces will be arranged for guests and employees of the complex, and the territory will be supplemented with lawns and green spaces.
Public discussions of the project will continue until August 10 inclusive. Comments and suggestions, with the mandatory mark "public discussion," must be sent to the postal or electronic address (220012, Minsk, Kuzmy Chornaga Lane, 5, office 306; perv.arhit@minsk.gov.by).
The results will be summarized at a meeting of the Architectural and Urban Planning Council under the chief architect of the city of Minsk.
