Russia Denies Entry to Nearly a Ton of Horns from Belarus
At the Russian-Belarusian border in the village of Lobok, Sebezhsky district, Pskov region, employees of Rosselkhoznadzor conducted a veterinary inspection of cargo from Belarus. During the inspection, it was established that 867 kilograms of hunting trophies — deer and elk horns — were being transported from Belarusian territory.
Inspectors found that the necessary veterinary accompanying documents for this cargo were missing. Specifically, there were no confirmations of product safety, its origin, the necessary processing, or documents regarding the epidemiological status of the territory from which the trophies originated.
Since the movement of hunting trophies through the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union is prohibited without proper clearance, an act was drawn up for the return of the cargo.
As a result, the horns were turned back to Belarus.
