In March and April 2026, annual inflation in Belarus was 5.4%. In May, it decreased to 4.8%, and in June, to 4.3%. However, in July, the trend changed: consumer prices rose by 4.4% year-on-year.

Food prices in July increased by 3.1% compared to the same month in 2025. Non-food items rose by 2.9% during the same period. Thus, the price growth for this group of goods remained lower than the overall annual inflation rate.

At the same time, the cost of services significantly increased. Over the year, from July 2025 to July 2026, they rose by a substantial 8.7%. It was services that became the main factor supporting the overall increase in consumer prices.

In July, compared to June, the core consumer price index was 100.3%. This means that, on average, the corresponding group of consumer prices increased by 0.3% over the month.

If July 2026 is compared to December 2025, the core index was 103.2%. In other words, over the first seven months of the year, the corresponding price level increased by approximately 3.2%.
