According to Vadim Lakiza, researchers are currently surveying various areas of the city and collecting materials for the creation of the archaeological map. Scientists want not only to systematize already known information but also to include new information obtained during recent research and excavations in the publication.

The map is considered a special gift for Minsk's anniversary. It should be interesting not only to specialists but also to residents of the capital, tourists, and everyone interested in the city's history.

Modern Minsk traditionally celebrates City Day on the second Saturday of September. In 2026, it will be September 12th — the capital will turn 959 years old. And already in 2027, Minsk will celebrate its anniversary — the 960th anniversary.
